RN Mathieu Chartrand speaks with Radio-Canada regarding the Supported Isolation Centre at 1500 Regent street. “Since May 2020, we have been identifying, isolating and testing individuals who experience homelessness who may be at risk of having COVID-19. There are many challenges and barriers to testing individuals who are experiencing homelessness and it is often not feasible for them to access an assessment center if they have symptoms of COVID-19. This allows us to quickly identify and isolate these individuals with the goal reducing the spread of COVID-19 within the community.”
